Corsets can be made out of almost any fabric. Even the most flimsy and delicate fabrics can be used over top of the sturdy coutil lining that forms the foundation of a Fit to be Tied corset.
I love working in Chinese silk, (as you can probably tell from the photo gallery!) but you can chose from damasks, linens, leathers (natural or synthetic) even denim! Lace over silks and satins give a lovely three dimensional look. Stiff linens and cottons are very traditional for Victorian corsets. You could even have one made in plain hemp and hand painted!
Think about where you would like to wear your corset, and how you want to feel in it. Then write to me and we'll decide the best way to fulfill your imagination.
